Forgiveness Has a Scope, And a Boundary
Forgiveness and boundaries are not opposites. You do not have to stay in what is hurting you to prove that your forgiveness is real.
In Part 3 of the Forgiveness Series we talk about the full scope of forgiveness — who, what, where, and when — and we name something the church doesn't always say clearly enough: being a woman of God does not mean being silent about harm. We explore what Jesus actually said about leaving, what boundaries really are, why pursuing justice is not unforgiveness, and what forgiving yourself has to do with all of it. This one is for the woman who has been told that staying was the faithful thing to do.
Because He First Forgave Us
Why does Jesus ask us to forgive? It's a fair question — and the answer is more convicting than comfortable. In Part 2 of the Forgiveness Series we get honest about the Jonah moment — that place where you don't want grace to be available to the person who hurt you. We explore the difference between reading the Bible with a Disney mindset versus an honest one, what Matthew 18 really says about forgiveness, and the difference between guilt and God's conviction. Because guilt keeps you ashamed and stuck. God's conviction points you toward hope. And that difference changes everything.
