Hush Hush...It's Underground

Don't you just love finding amazing places that not many people know about? Something that only those who wonder find? Maybe a place that even locals haven't discovered yet? If you don't then I'm sorry to say this blog, specifically this post is not for you. However...if you do then keep on READING!

We recently discovered this amazing restaurant that has revolutionized my perspective of ramen🍜. I know ramen is always associated as the poor woman's (or man's ) food. I remember the struggle of college life like anyone else. It came in handy then and trust me it is coming in handy yet again. Who would have thought you could make an amazing broth and delicious ramen that surpasses what many of us have come to love?

Toki Underground has changed my perspective! This little wall in the hole has become a favorite of mine when I'm the NE (northeast Washington D.C.) and I'm recommending it for all my Japanese and ramen lovers out there. With over 700, and counting, reviews, it's no wonder this is one of D.C's best kept secrets.

There are different options from Japanese appetizers to non ramen dishes. Everything on the menu is $15 or less so if you're not trying to splurge for date night then come on over. I tried the Toki Classic because I wanted to get a sense of their best and well known dish. It didn't disappoint at all...I mean I'm writing about it right?

All in all, I cannot wait to head back again! If you see me, make sure to say hi while I stuff my face with some delicious $15 ramen🍜😆!
