What It Is to Be a Sexy Christian

Sexy: to embrace and display who one is from within by exuding outwardly of the confidence, self-assurance, self-love, and authority that one has.

When you and I are in our elements, accepting and believing in who God has created us to be, we become undeniably sexy. I find it a beautiful state of being.

To be unapologetically confident in the Word of God, the promise of God, the power of the Lord, and the love of Christ is sexy to me. This is a new and real level of sexy that cannot be taken away by what others perceive of you. This level of sexy is what causes mountains to shake and rivers to roar. This type of sexy is to be reckoned with because it's a type of sexy that belongs to you through the gift of your salvation in Christ. It's an eternal type of sexy.

The Stories You Choose to Share

There is a sense of confidence that is developed when one chooses to take ownership for what has happened in their life. We must use those moments to make our quilt of life as beautiful as possible. But this quilt cannot be produced unless we allow ourselves to look dead on at what has happened, how it made us feel, what lessons were meant to be learned from them, and in what ways will we be using the lessons acquired by the experience.

There is a price you'll pay to tell your story your way. But my dear, it is worth it! Your liberation and freedom are worth it all. There is a level of respect and love that you owe to yourself and it requires that you share the story that God has placed within you.

Embrace that you survived when what you went through was meant to kill you (emotionally, psychologically, or/and physically). Tell your story.

I've been asked recently about how I was able to overcome the worst depression I've ever faced, and I have to confess something to you guys:

Confessions are scary. They make all of us feel uncomfortable and yes I mean all of us, myself included. You know me, I love respectful confrontations and honesty. Sometimes a little too much because I know I make people feel uncomfortable but I'm not apologizing for that. Confessions, on the other hand, they so far past my comfort zone I forget what comfort is when I have to allow myself to share what makes me feel the most uncomfortable voluntarily.

Though I'm uncomfortable, I will confess this: I am scared.

Validation Not Needed: Stand Tall Regardless

Christ knew that as long as he was seeking and doing the willing of God, he would be getting his IG (Instagram for you finely aged people 😉) blue check mark from God. He didn't mop around or point fingers for not having the same amount of fans at the time of the crucifixion. Instead, he broadcasted his validation by stating that he would stand without his followers by choosing to stand with God. (Let's be honest, Jesus had 0 followers and over 108,470,690,115 (and counting) followers.)
